Greetings from Times Square!

I don’t know what rock I’ve been hiding under, but I’m glad that Mike Collins of RehabList.com told me about the Inman Real Estate Connect Conference! This conference has a tagline of "Where Real Estate Meets Technology" which gave me a hint that this was the perfect place for someone (like me) who is interested in the rapidly growing trend of Virtual Real Estate Investing.

The reason I haven’t heard of this conference is because it is more taiored to Realtors and those who service the more traditional Real Estate paradigm. I’ve been networking like crazy but haven’t yet found another "creative" real estate investor which is indicative of the fact that there just isn’t really much knowledge exchange between our world and their world.

On the first day of the event, I picked up some incredible insight into how this camp is using blogs to build buyers lists, sell properties, to brand themselves and to disseminate news on the various markets the bloggers are familiar with. My biggest takeaway from that session was that realtors are becoming more tech savvy and I’m surprised how quickly they are embracing new technology and how they are finding ways to use technology to MAKE MORE MONEY. No offense to you if you are a realtor, but I kinda always looked at realtors as if they just didn’t "get it" and that we creative real estate investors were on the cutting edge, employing the smartest strategies and leaving the realtors in the dust when it came to dollars earned per transaction.

Well, these guys aren’t the dinosaurs I had imagined.

This is the 12th (!!) year that this conference has been going on and there are probably 1000+ attednees here. They have some HUGE names in the tech world here to speak (Craig Newmark, founder of CraigsList.com for example) and some HUGE names in the traditional RE world as well. How come nothing like this exists for US? I mean, if you go to a huge event like this in the creative real estate world it is more than likely a "customer appreciation" event which is just a kind way of calling it a PITCH FEST. Let’s get real folks - I know we are in this business to make money but it’s time for us to bring creative real estate training/education into the 21st century and really focus on delivering VALUE to the attendees and students of our events.

That’s just my 2-cents’ worth and I can guarantee that the Virtual Investing Seminar series is going to give you 10x more value than you’ve paid for. Get fed up with the BS that these "gurus" are trying to shove down your throat and DEMAND that they take your success as seriously as YOU do.

Chpt 2 - Dominating Local Search

Did you know that you could DOMINATE your market for as little as a couple of grand each month? One of the biggest take aways from the entire Virtual Real Estate Investing event was from RehabList president Mike Collins.

Mike and Bruce (his PPC guy) got on stage and showed us how we could DOMINATE the real estate related search engine traffic for LESS than it would cost you to run 1 billboard! They call it “Internet Bandit Signs”, but it’s much more powerful than the name implies. And I can GUARANTEE your competition has no clue about this ad strategy!

Mike and Bruce are the only people in the country who are talking about this stuff! You should really watch the videos they created to see how EASY it is for you to start implement local search as a major part of your real estate marketing to buy or sell.
I left the event with his new DVD series, popped in the firts disc and before it was finished I had a clear idea of EXACTLY what i needed to do in order to take over the real estate related search terms for the markets I work. Shortly before the Virtual Investing Seminar, I received an urgent email from a very successful investor out of Houston and although we were close to capacity for the training, he begged me to let him attend.
